We are extremely excited to announce that we are working with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and several local Kentucky nonprofits, including Grow Appalachia and Community Farm Alliance, to convene a FREE 2-day workshop for Appalachian landowners. The workshop will be held on September 13th and 14th at the Jenny Wiley State Resort Park in Floyd County, KY. The workshop will introduce attendees to several state and federal agencies and local nonprofits that offer landowner assistance programs in Appalachia. It will also be an opportunity for landowners to tell these agencies and nonprofits about their own challenges, needs, and successes. US F&W wants to hear from Appalachian landowners so that they can better serve them. Come to Jenny Wiley on September 13th and 14th to learn about programs that can benefit you and to tell your landowner stories and needs directly to government agents!
We want this free event to be accessible for all Appalachian landowners, even those who are quite a drive away from Floyd County. Room & board at Jenny Wiley State Resort will be free if you register for the workshop before August 13th! You can register for the event by following this link: https://www.helpforlandowners.org/usfishwildlife
If you want to get free room & board, remember to check the box on the registration site that says "Click the box if needing a room on site."
